Video Production Camp - 3 weekend series

This is a three week series, price shown is for the entire series.

Although the digital age has almost entirely eclipsed old school film, the art of filmmaking has never been easier to start learning. Video Production Camp was developed around tablets and editing software to make filmmaking as accessible as possible for our students. Throughout the 12 unit curriculum students learn about the history of film including tech advancements, as well as the variety of genre branches. ,

The art of composition is also a topic that is covered in Video Production Camp. From storyboarding, the rule of thirds, to lighting and audio, making each shot must be worthy of the final production. Daily activities build upon previous knowledge and the camp culminates in a final film project, which they show off with pride at the film festival held on the last day of camp (popcorn provided!).

In this hands-on, integrated curriculum approach students gain both technical skills in video filming and editing while learning about the historical significance of film and the elements of story telling. This fusion of art and technological literacy is truly the perfect illustration of STEAM education brought to life.

CAD Camp - 3 weekend series

CAD breathes life into creativity across the world. Engineers use it to design realistic models, woodworkers use it for pre-design, video game designers create life-like components and even artists use it in their creations. The possibilities are limitless with what CAD will be used for in the future, and CAD Camp prepares students by teaching them Computer-Aided Design program fluency through project-based activities and challenges.

While students gain knowledge and progress through the camp activities, their problem-solving skills and creativity are put to the test. Each day is designed to blend group and personal work time. This gives students plenty of time to tackle the project at hand, and potentially dive into the optional extensions.
